London elephant trail

Back in June I ran along the south bank of the Thames near London Bridge to see a collection of monkeys. This time I was on the hunt for elephants.

A herd of pachyderms have been placed around Spitalfields after previously residing near Marble Arch. These bronze sculptures were by the same artists - Gillie and Mark. Their aim is to raise awareness of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which is helping with conservation efforts in Kenya.

There are 21 elephants altogether, one mother and 20 baby elephants representing orphan elephants being cared for by the charity.
