I don't have to stop at 13.1 miles but it must be a minimum of the distance which means I can still do longer runs. It also means when time is tight the longest run I need to do in a week is two hours.
My aim is to complete one each week over the course of the year, rather than smash out the whole lot in the first 10 months or so which is usually my style.
In the back of my mind I'm also considering 21 marathons in 2021 as without realising I managed exactly 20 in 2020.
After four weeks I have completed four half marathons, two of which were 26.2 and 30 miles respectively. On course so far...
Due to lockdown conditions I can't drive anywhere new to run, but there is a wealth of opportunities here in the capital for exploring new routes. These have been my routes the first four weeks.
Week one - 30 loops of the local park - 13.1 miles.
Week two - around Rotherhithe - 13.1 miles.
Week three - Figure of eight to Brixton and Eltham - 26.2 miles.
Week four - Ring through Brixton, Balham, Battersea, Central London and Isle of Dogs - 30 miles.
